Medieval Europe, circa 11th-15th century AD. A fine Medieval bronze ring, still containing its original blue-green glass inlay. The blue glass “stone” is held in place with four bronze “claw” prongs, the metal with a lovely deep brassy tone. About a US size 5. See T.N. Pollio, “The Art of Medieval Jewelry” page 120, or T.N.
