A lovely Roman bronze “Bow” brooch (toga pin), from the 1st Century AD. A beautiful example, the arched body adorned with incised and raised decoration, the original pin and catch well preserved, which is extremely rare to see. The fibula measures 1 5/8” long, with gorgeous glossy deep olive-green patina. From the J. Norman collection, Germany. Accompanied by a hand-signed certificate of authenticity which includes all the details, culture, dating, motifs/inscriptions when applicable, historical relevance, and provenance.
