A Medieval knight's iron “Rowel” spur, Medieval Europe, time of the Crusades, c. 14th century AD. A fantastic and intact example found in Schweinfurt forest, Bavaria. Features engraved linear design, 8-pointed Rowel, and looped ends—one still retaining the original iron buckle that once attached it to the rider's boot centuries ago. Measures 4 3/4” long, the pricks still very sharp. In excellent condition, professionally conserved with museum-quality care. A very rare piece of history! Ex J.N. collection, Germany.
