Product Description
This Ancient Elamite-Luristan Bronze Arrowhead dates to c. 1200–800 BC during the Persian Bronze Age. A large and well-preserved example, it features a deltoid-shaped head with a raised central midrib and a short tang designed for mounting into a wooden shaft. Measures 4" in length. Exhibits an attractive olive-green patina with earthen and mineral encrustations. Ref: Malloy "Weapons" plate XII, #92; Muscarella #417 for type. From the highly curated Spangenberg collection, Texas (Accession number 2009.21.78).
