Product Description

Being offered today is a HIGH GRADE example of a 1937 P (Philadelphia) Buffalo Nickel. The coin carries a very HIGH GRADE of Mint State 66. The coin also displays a blazing white strike on both sides. It’s perfect for a coin that was minted 88 years ago.

If you look on the reverse of the coin the strike is off center, making this an error coin.

Error coins are much harder to find because the mint highly scrutinizes all coins for a perfect strike. It is very rare that these coins are released from the mint into the public.

This coin is an unusually nice high-end survivor with a sharp strike. The strike on this coin showcases the intricate details of the design, making it a beautiful addition to any collection.

The buffalo nickel is technically known as the “Five-Cent Indian Head” coin. It's also commonly referred to as the “Buffalo Nickel” or “Bison Nickel” due to the bison on the back and often the “Indian Nickel” based on the portrait of a classic American native on the front.

This rare 1937 P Buffalo Nickel is a true gem for anyone looking for something out of the ordinary. With its impeccable MS 66 grade, certified by PCGS, it is a must-have for those who appreciate the value of rare coins.

PCGS provides an accurate, consistent, and impartial assessment of authenticity backed by the comprehensive PCGS Guaranty, which protects buyers and sellers!

The coin will be encased in a long-term preservation holder.  The holder is made to enhance the presentation of the encapsulated coin and protects against tampering.
